compatibility with lower resolutions
jean-yves uses a screen with a 1680*1050 résolution, it is apparently an issue at least for the subject list screen.
Gitlab will go in to maintenance on Friday 5:30pm since SIU is doing Isilon maintenance and we use isilon shares on the Gitlab
